October 24 to November 04 – Mr. Tomokazu Obara Visiting America – Reiyukai America members in Los Angeles, San Diego and Chicago had a pleasant time with the visit of branch leader, Mr. Tomokazu Obara. Check out the photos as they will talk for themselves without any further description.

 

Picture3November 02 – Family Day Festival in Chicago 2014 – There are many family events out there but not like Reiyukai America’s where the theme of the event is to think and feel the family! Members of REACT in Chicago organized a fabulous heartwarming event where many people joined the cause of Reiyukai!

 

Picture6 November 08 – Pacific Media Expo – REACT held a panel named “Decoding Japanese Culture—Roots of Identity” focusing on hidden clues of identities that can be found in Japanese pop culture such as the anime and comics.

 

Picture1November 16 – Carrying Over the Torch of Compassion – Young adult members in L.A area gathered to commemorate the efforts and achievements of Reiyukai’s Co-Founder, Mr. Kakutaro Kubo, who passed away on November 18, 1941.

 

Picture4November 22 – Let’s Celebrate the ‘Ohana – The last Family Day Festival of the year was held in Hawai‘i! Having branch leader Mr. Tomotsugu Masunaga from Japan as a guest speaker of the event, participants shared their precious memories about family and ancestors.

November 23 – Letter to My Parents Contest in Hawai’i 2014 – The winners for this year’s contest were, 1st, Claudia Maria, receiving $1,000 scholarship by Reiyukai America. 2nd, Norman Macadangdang receiving $500 scholarship by Kalamansi Books and Things and 3rd, Faith Angelica Ulep Pascua receiving $250 scholarship by Filipino Association of University Women, one of the sponsors. The finalists were Chimako Natalie Anitok, Angelica Louise Badua, Rebecca Carino, Jessa Rae Pascua, Nefra-Itania, Seiulli-Umu, Jenivy Teruo, and Gerlie Ebreo Valdez.
